Meet Miya.

The founder

Miya S. Blair

Miya founded Miya B Bookkeeping with a simple belief: a business's books — and a person's financial records — deserve the same quiet excellence as everything else worth doing well.

Born and raised in Florida, Miya built her bookkeeping practice after years of watching small business owners and busy individuals carry a quiet financial weight that didn't belong to them. Messy spreadsheets. Overdue reconciliations. A shoebox of receipts. A CPA who needed "just one more thing." The kind of unfinished work that keeps people up at night, long after the workday is done.

Her approach is methodical, discreet, and warm. Miya works primarily in QuickBooks Online, keeps tight monthly closes, and communicates the way a trusted advisor should — clearly, calmly, and without jargon. Every client relationship begins with listening, and every engagement is designed around the reality of how you actually run your life or business.

"I'm not here to make bookkeeping feel bigger than it needs to be," Miya says. "I'm here to make it feel quieter, cleaner, and genuinely handled."

What guides the work

Principles, not performance.

  1. Accuracy over speed

Fast bookkeeping is easy. Accurate bookkeeping takes patience — and it's the only kind worth doing. Every reconciliation, category, and adjustment is made with intention.

  2. Discretion as default

Your financials are deeply personal. Confidentiality isn't a feature — it's a foundation. Access is minimized, secured, and always view-only where appropriate.

  3. Clarity over complexity

Reports that no one reads aren't reports — they're clutter. We present numbers in ways that are simple to act on, whether you're a founder, an individual, or a CPA.

  4. Consistency as a craft

The value of good bookkeeping compounds quietly. A steady monthly rhythm, month after month, is what turns messy finances into reliable ones.

Behind the name

Why bees, and what the double "B" really stands for.

The double "B" in our mark is a nod to Miya's last name, Blair, and to Bookkeeping — two promises in a single hexagon. It's also a quiet reference to the bee, nature's most organized worker. Bees move with purpose. They build with structure. They produce something valuable through steady, patient effort. That's the rhythm of good bookkeeping, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to.

"Lean on me for all of your needs."

A recent note

"Miya is the most organized, thoughtful person I've ever worked with on anything financial. She caught things my last bookkeeper missed for two years — and did it without making me feel small about it."
